Over the past 36 hours, for me, it has been mostly about self care. Watching my emotions, acknowledging them, but not identifying them as who I am. Part of that self care has been listening to music. Election Day Meditation


This election cycle has been a bit contentious. We’ll all find one serious exhale after Tuesday. In the meantime, my fellow teachers at NYHRC are offering Election Day Meditation all day long at various locations. So go vote and then offer yourself an opportunity to calm the f*ck down. The political discourse these days has me feeling a little glum. While I don’t believe the noise created by some of the candidates are the views of the vast majority of the population of our great country, it nonetheless has an impact. Sometimes the best way to help ourselves is to help others. I’m pretty fortunate to know the work I do makes a difference in people’s lives.
