FullSizeRenderI headed off to Grand Central to catch a train to my first class of the day. I marveled at the sunny bright skies and the crisp cold December morning. Running a bit behind schedule, I was delighted that the uptown 5 express train was arriving as I walked down the stairs to the track.

The train was relatively empty particularly for a Saturday during the holidays and while there were seats available, I opted to prop myself against the door rather than take a seat. No one around me I stood alone. As the train left the station, a small little boy, not more than eight or nine, wearing a dirty short sleeve t-shirt walked through the train. In his tiny Continue reading “Saturday, December 13, 2014”

Thanksgiving.

For each new morning with its light, for rest and shelter of the night, for health and food, for love and friends, for everything thy goodness sends. I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and new. –Ralph Waldo Emerson

This sums it all up nicely. Happiest of Thanksgivings to you.

Wishing you happiness, joy, freedom, and ease.

With deep love and gratitude.

Truthiness

And the attitude of faith is the very opposite of clinging to belief, of holding on. ~Alan Watts

Faith. A confidence or trust or belief in a person or thing…not based on any proof, whatsoever.

Somewhat akin to faith could possibly be the word truthiness which Stephen Colbert, Arianna Huffington, Continue reading “Truthiness”

Fall Detox with Ximena Rojas!

There’s no shortage of detox programs out there these days. But there’s only two a year lead by my dear friend, Ximena Rojas, Health Coach extraordinaire!

The foods we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, the beauty and cleaning products we use, our possibly stressful lifestyle, all contribute and create toxins in our bodies. A cleanse/detox program is the opportunity to RESET your body and mind. Ximena uses the word “reset” to mean improve the functioning of the organs that help the natural cleansing process of the body (digestive track, liver, kidneys and skin) as well as cleansing the mind for clarity.

This is a two week detoxification program where Ximena will guide you through an Elimination Diet. You will remove six ingredients out of our meals, minimize the consumption of processed foods, and incorporate as many wholesome seasonal foods as possible!

I highly recommend this program. The best part? You don’t need to be in New York to do it! Want more information? Click here! Program starts November 3. What are you waiting for?

Loads of love,

Dennis

Your Light

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. ~Albert Schweitzer

I don’t believe it ever goes out altogether. Like the sun, there may be clouds obscuring its brightness, but your light is always there even if it’s only a tiny spark. Continue reading “Your Light”

The Real You

Doesn’t it really astonish you that you are this fantastically complex thing…and that you’re doing all of this and you never had any education in how to do it? ~Alan Watts

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a great narrative, artfully edited images, and an epic soundtrack. This makes my heart go pitter-pat. Enjoy!

Loads of love,

Dennis
